The beautiful Kiparissi of Laconia

In the shadow of mount Parnon and on the shores of the Aegean Sea, the village of Kyparissi lies hidden at the edge of the region of Laconia. It is justifiably considered one of the “most beautiful villages of Greece”, combining the mountain with the sea, and adorned with unexplored beaches and crystal-clear waters. With a majestic view and surrounded by the three magnificent beaches of Megalis Ammos, Mikri Ammos and Aghia Kyriaki, it is the ideal place for a relaxing summer holiday.

It is worth noting that Kyparissi is not a place one can visit only in the summer. The breath-taking natural landscape will win your heart if you want to go hiking or rock climbing all year long. Its beaches are by no means of lesser beauty and present a unique variability. Megali and Mikri Ammos have wonderful small white pebbles, whereas Aghia Kyriaki offers warm and calm waters ideal for children. From this beach the view towards the village and the sea is stunning. A cave, Thynni, is a “secret” place where –according to the local inhabitants- seasonal fish lay their eggs in its warm, shallow waters.

The main harbour of Kyparissi is located at the beach and is used by yachts and other boats in spring and in summer. When the weather picks up yachts find shelter in the well-protected little harbour of Aghios Nikolaos, just opposite the beach of Aghia Kyriaki.

Kyparissi, with its picturesque little houses, its hospitable courtyards and its narrow streets opens up to welcome you
